Dear Church Family,
I am writing in an attempt to keep our church membership updated on the current but fluid situation as we respond individually and corporately to the spread of this Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
I understand that these are trying times on multiple levels especially when our way of life has been changed so drastically in just seven days. So, there are a few suggestions that I would like to share with you.

How do we live when we live in such troubled times as these? Faith, Hope, Love, Trust, Courage and Prayer. Prayer changes things and prayer must be our priority. Please pray for those compromised by age, infirmity and preexisting health conditions. Pray for our nation, our leaders, our healthcare workers, our first responders, our families, friends, co-workers, and our neighbors.
Our God is Sovereign, all-powerful and transcendent. Be assured, nothing takes Him by surprise.
The mission of Bar Mills Community Church has always been to help people know Jesus and to make Him known. In light of what is happening around us and the panic, fear, extreme hoarding and selfishness that has ensued in light of COVID-19, people need to hear God’s Word. It is the life-changing message of Jesus Christ that gives hope and assurance to the world. Therefore, we must be more determined than ever to reach people for Christ.
Remember the Four Keys from Sunday’s message:
1. Be Pragmatic
2. Be Practical
3. Be Prayerful
4. Proclaim the Gospel
Blessings Always in Christ,
Pastor Chuck
Dear Church Family,
I am writing in an attempt to keep our church membership updated on the current but fluid situation as we respond individually and corporately to the spread of this Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
I understand that these are trying times on multiple levels especially when our way of life has been changed so drastically in just seven days. So, there are a few suggestions that I would like to share with you.
- As faithful givers to the ministry and work of Bar Mills Community Church, you can continue to give your tithes and offerings and missions giving by mailing your check to the church address, which is:
P.O. Box 424
Bar Mills, Maine 04004
- During this hiatus, if you need someone to get medication and or food supplies, please contact me (205-2566 or 247-3511) as Barbara and I will coordinate this effort to make sure you are able to have your needs met.
- In cases of emergency, please dial 911. Fire/Rescue is adequately prepared to respond on all levels to any emergency involving COVID-19.
- Along with the practical application of washing your hands regularly for at least 12 seconds; practice Social Distancing, allowing yourself four to six feet between you and other people if possible. Do not assemble in crowds of ten people or more and avoid restaurants and lunch counters.
- COVID-19 is spread through vapor droplets from the nose and mouth and contact with surfaces where people have been. Use hand sanitizers liberally. If you can’t find hand sanitizers, you can make it by simply using a mixture of 90% alcohol and Aloe vera. A drop of essential oil will enhance the smell of the product.
