Letter from the Women’s Fellowship Circle
It is unusual when something is so successful that it comes to an end. Even with COVID-19 restrictions and a snowstorm we had a very good year. After much thought and discussion, the BMCC Women’s Fellowship Circle decided to make 2020 the last year of our two-day Christmas Marketplace. One of the reasons is dismantling the church and getting everything set up and putting everything back together for Sunday service puts a lot of wear and tear on the pews and on us.
The plan for this year will be to have a smaller Marketplace in July and go back to a one-day Christmas Marketplace in December.
On Saturday, July 24th 10:00 am to 2:00 pm we plan to introduce our July Christmas Marketplace. I’m sure there will be no snow for this event. We will be putting a big tent outback on the lawn to enjoy a delicious lunch. The vestry of the church will be filled with the beautifully hand-made items that you are used to seeing at the former Marketplace. The theme of the items will be for the Fall as well as Christmas so you can start your shopping early. There will also be tables set up outside under tents with other treasures.
On Saturday, December 4th 9:00 am to 1:00 pm we will have a one-day Christmas Marketplace. Again, the vestry will be full of hand-made items for everyone on your gift list. We will still have homemade candy, preserves and plenty of pickles. As in the past there will be beautiful wreaths and greenery to decorate your home for the winter season. We hope that spreading out the Marketplace event will work for everyone.
We have heard from so many over the years that “this is the only fair we go to” or “this is the best fair anywhere”. Comments like these warm our hearts and it lets us know that our hard work is appreciated. We want to let you our friends and family know that we have appreciated your support for the past 15 years. It is because of your loyalty that this fair has been such a success. It is our hopes that you will not be disappointed with the new arrangement.
We hope to see you soon!
I found this quote this morning and wanted to share it with you.
“Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God”
I hope that you have lots of JOY in your life. Today and every day.
