Angela Olszta, originally from New Hampshire, now resides in Maine and is pianist for USM's University Chorale and Southern Maine Youth Choirs. She is also pianist and choir director at the Bar Mills Community Church in Buxton and teaches piano at the New England Institute of Education in Falmouth. In addition to solo performances, she has performed extensively with singers and instrumentalists in recitals and competitions and often performs in chamber music concerts across New England with violinist, Alexander Romanul. Her interest in opera and art song led her to Italy and Austria where she performed with singers in the Opera Festival di Roma and the Salzburg Music Festival. She completed graduate studies at USM in piano performance and pedagogy where she was a student of Dr. Laura Kargul and Ms. Christine Kissack, and undergraduate studies in piano performance and pedagogy from Plymouth State University with Dr. Carleen Graff. Former teachers include George Lopez, Jack L’Ecuyer, and Anastasia Antonacos.
